DIY: When and how to change air filter

When to check air filter:

-  Replace air filter once a year or every 7,500 kms

- Use a flashlight and shine it inside of the filter. If you can't see any light or very little light. The filter needs to be change.

How to replace

1. Get a new airfilter. Make sure you get the right model

2. Locate your air filter. Usually found on top of the engine. For newer cars which use fuel injectors, look for rectangular housing on the side of the engine.

3. Remove the old air filter. Unclasp or unsrew the top of housing. Take out the old air filter.

- Use a flashlight and shine it inside of the filter. If you can't see any light or very little light. The filter needs to be change.

4. Clean the housing. Use vaccum or rag to clean the area. Make sure no debris falling in your fuel injector.

5. Place the new/clean air filter n the housing

6. Replace the housing cover and make sure that the cover is secured.
